According to Inca April 23rd 1616 was the date that Cervantes, Shakespeare and Garcilaso de la Vega disappeared. It is also the day of birth, or death, of eminent writers such as Maurice Druon, K. Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla or Manuel Mejía Vallejo. That is why reason why this date, symbolical for universal literature, was chosen by the general Conference of UNESCO to honour the book and their authors. And especially encourage youngsters to discover the pleasure of reading and to respect the contribution of creators to the social and cultural progress. Project in the Brussels' and Walloon towns in favour of the book. Activities towards the public in favour of reading and access to books.
